The Microscopic Characters of Artificial Inorganic Solid Substances or Artificial Minerals

By: Alexander Conrad Winchell

Price: $30.00

Quantity: 1 available

Book Condition: Fair

Includes a chapter on the Universal Stage. Multiple ex-library; Kennecott, Texas Gulf Sulfur Company, H.R. Erwin and F.B. Hodgdon who wrote on front fly, leaf, "Swapped for Dana 6/10/(19)09 to B. Stringham" (Bronson Ferrin Stringham) namesake for stringhamite! Maroon cloth hardcover .library stamp on bottom and top of book as well as inside front fly leaf. Previous owners names on inside front end paper and front fly leaf. Cover is worn on all edges but very sturdy, minor warping on upper corner of pages (minor water damage?), and yellowing of pages. Still a good, usable copy. An interesting (maybe unique) book on optical mineralogy, as it includes data on artificial (inorganic) minerals. 403 pages, with more than 300 figures, as well as two large tables on isotropic and anisotropic artificial minerals.
