An excellent book on the mineral localities of Colorado and New Mexico, described in terms of the geologic forces which created them. The geology of the mid-continent rift system has spawned a myriad of mineral localities (ore deposits) which stretch from Mexico to Alaska. All of the major mining districts in these two states are discussed, as well as the mineral speciemns that are produced in these localities. 332 pages, with numerous maps, tables and B&W photographs. There is also a section with 72 color plates of mineral specimens in the middle of the book.
